Mississippi Hoop Report 2020-2021 All-State Team
Coach of the year:
Robert Green, Clinton
The Arrows were expected to be in the mix for the 6A title but no one envisioned the dominant season they had. Coach Green pushed all the right buttons as the Arrows rolled to the title with only a single blemish on their season, giving Green his second state title as a head coach.
Runner up: Derrick Moore, Coahoma County
1st Team
Player of the Year
Rashad Bolden 6’0” Sr. PG Saint Andrews
26.5 PPG, 4.0 RPG, 3.5 APG, 2.4 SPG
Bolden repeats has my player of the year as he led Saint Andrews to a second straight state championship. Bolden finishes his high school career with three state championships in four seasons and a final four appearance in the other, two state championship game MVPs, MVP of the 1A-2A-3A North/South all-star game and MVP of the Mississippi/Alabama all-star game, putting his career accomplishments in the rarified air of former greats Malik Newman and Monte Ellis.
Daeshun Ruffin 5’9” Sr. G Callaway
32.5 PPG, 3.3 RPG, 2.0 APG, 2.8 SPG
The most explosive player in the state. Led Callaway to a 10-1 record on the court and the quarterfinals of the 5A state tournament.
Josh Hubbard 5’10” Soph. G Madison Ridgeland Academy
24.3 PPG, 5 RPG, 3 APG
Another explosive scorer and the catalyst of MRA’s run to the MAIS 5A and overall titles.
Khamani Hamilton 6’8” Jr. F Clinton
17 PPG, 6.6 RPG, 2.4 APG
20 PPG, 12 RPG in 4 state tournament games
Really turned up his game in the playoffs to lead the Arrow to their first championship in 28 years.
Devin Carter 6’2” Sr. G Florence
30.9 PPG, 6.1 RPG, 3.1 APG, 2.1 SPG
Had a strong senior season to lead Florence to a 20-1 on court record and a trip to the 4A quarterfinals.
Second Team
Devin Ree 6’7” Jr. F Terry
23.2 PPG, 12 RPG, 5 APG
Jamie Mitchell 6’5” Sr. F Forest Hill

Jay Barnes 5’10” Sr. PG Oak Grove
20.3 PPG, 5.2 APG, 3 RPG
